Although I like guns, I believe that shooting animals and calling it ‘hunting’ is an abuse. It is just plain low murder. Be a man and open a can of pork. If you are careful you won’t cut your fingers.
This is just plain stupid shit. I have a Rossi R92 with 24″ octagon barrel in .357 magnum. I have literally blew a chunk out the back of the skull out on head shots with this gun at 25 yards. Devastating wounds, but they didn’t die as quick as this video. I have three kills with this gun. One deer, two feral pigs. I think this is not very realistic. When a dope gets charged by an angry pig, Gamo ain’t gonna be there to clean up the mess.
@tomavgabriel you do realize that the pork in that can was slaughtered, it’s throat was slit and it was left to bleed out then thrown into a machine where it was chopped into the tiny pieces in that can. at least a clean shot to the head or heart is nearly instant and pain free

Yes I am aware of the many possibilities one can kill an animal in order to eat it. I am ok with that (by the way In some place pigs are sacrificed by shooting them with a special gun that fires a rod directly into the brain, thus killing them instantly). I also cut some heads a long time ago, but I have never felt like I had to film that. I felt very sorry for the animal, but I actually had to eat it. The part that troubles me is when we begin to like that and post movies.

I know you shouldn’t leave air rifles cocked for an extended period of time. But what is an extended period of time? 15 minutes? 15 hours? Days?

at that point and speeds the pellet detonates along with about a quarter size of skull, then bounce around the brain cavity until losing enough energy. hydrostatics are awesome!
@stangpower03 Naturally. I don’t agree with what they did there because the probability of an ethical kill is too low. But I cannot argue with their results.
@tartredarrow That is a good question, and I have asked Crosman that before. I have never gotten a clear answer. So, I personally don’t cock my springer until I see the target, and never leave it cocked more than 30 minutes. In theory, the new nitro pistons don’t have that problem.
Consider a discovery. For what you spend for a higher end breakbarrel, you could get a Disco, and using the pump is easy. 25 shots a charge. $400 for gun, pump, shipping. Take a look at mine.

I have the first model of the 1250 and with lead JBL DOMED or PREDATORS average speeds in .22cal were around 850fps. I wouldn’t use it on anything bigger than a rabbit.

@tartredarrow, where do you buy pork in a can? Mine comes in a Styrofoam tray in the meat section of the grocery store or I kill it myself. At least killing it myself I know where it came from and how it died. That can not having a face on it doesn’t mean it wasn’t killed by someone else. Do you think having a stranger kill your enemy not murder. Either way they were killed.
A good shot, and a clean kill. That is what a true hunter prides himself on.
Demonstrated well in this short video. Amazing that this was with an air rifle! I shoot with a 40ft/lb Gunpower Sealth, but have never considered less than .270 cal before.

@tarbmuffinable In Texas (wich is where he is ) hogs are over running and killing farmers crops ,animals and land. It is neccesary to hunt these animals.But with there
being so many there is no way to eat every one. It is better to kill a few pigs then to damage our economy and are agriculture even more when they both they both are suffering great losses.
