Watch as a Scope is sighted in on an air rifle. Air Rifle scopes like those by RWS and Walther have ASR or Airgun Shock Reinforcement. This means their lenses are cushioned at either side. This is because air rifles kick twice, once forward and once backward, as opposed to a firearm which only kicks once. Video directed by Umarex USA. @UmarexAir thanks!
how far away should i sight my scope in from? if 20 yards like you did in the video, what adjustments would need to be made when firing from 50 or 100 yards? please respond.
@JDawgSniper16 One of our gun techs responded with this:
“I’d suggest he sight the rifle in at the distance that the largest % of his shots are taken. From there…he will need to shoot at varying distances and make notes as to the impact at these distances. From there he will have to adjust the crosshairs on the target in order to hit bullseye at further distances. If he has a scope with the mil-dot feature then it’s possible to use these dots at varying distances in order to be more precise.”
Please keep your right elbow in front of that lever during reload as your fingers might be clipped off when your loading a pellet.
I have no sand for a sandbag, dirt? :S
Hey maybe you guys can help me i just bought a new ruger airhawk and for some reason i can’t get it sighted properly. I shoot a 3 shot grouping and they are all a few inches apart from each other. i have it set up as stable as possible and the same results.
Is it the scope or the gun??
What should i do?
what is the best scope
Very nice! But I have 1 question because i am begginer, so if I set up to be on 20yards accurate, will be this be same on 40 yards or I don’t know, Whether it will be accurate or maybe it will miss for few centimeters, thanks I hope you understand my bad English and reply soon.

i was thinking about zeroing in to 50 yards for hunting because most rabbits i see are around that or further and its a pain making educated guess’s when zeroed to about 30 yards. good idea ?
